In this standard, a pulse form with an 8 microsecond rise time and a 20 µs half value drop time (or a 8/20 µs pulse) is defined. For this pulse form, the maximum peak pulse power and peak pulse current are specified in the datasheet of most Nexperia ESD protection devices.
