Product List
The clamping voltage (VCl) is sometimes a disregarded electrical parameter for protection devices, but one of the most important. It specifies the maximum voltage drop across the protection diode during an ESD strike; this is the same voltage drop that will occur across the protected circuit. It therefore has to be below the maximum allowed voltage drop of the protected circuit to guarantee that it will not suffer damage.
