In summary, the Intel® SoC FPGAs integrate a dual-core Arm® Cortex®-A9 processor, memory controllers and peripherals, with an FPGA coupled together with a high bandwidth interconnect. This approach allows embedded system designers to reduce board space, power and costs while increasing system performance. Through Intel®’s partnership with Arm®, the debugging barrier between CPUs and the FPGA is removed, using the Arm® DS-5 Intel® Edition Toolkit software. This enables hardware and software designers to quickly debug both sides of the chip and get the systems to market quickly.
