Connectivity in Control Systems Slide 7

Shown on this slide is the effect of loop delay, or output delay. Looking at a servo motor as an example, the larger the loop delay is, the longer the delay, or the slower the servo response becomes. As the loop delay increases, the ripple effect grows. There is a very small line right in the middle, which is the target that the application is to be as close to as possible.
