QuickSense C8051F990 Low Power MCU with Capacitive Sensing Slide 31
It has been shown that the C8051F99x family is a low power solution that adds robust capacitive sensing. Shown here is an example of being able to implement a ‘wake on slider’ while maintaining the low power sleep modes, taking advantage of both features. In this example the system can wake-up and detect the slider motion.  Each of the channels are implemented as a set of two bonded channels creating a total of three pads that get sampled.  For clarity, the arrangement of the channels is indicated by the color differences in the diagram. The first set of pads are monitored for the start of the slider motion and the next set of pads is implemented as a group of pads for course slider motion. When the MCU has detected the wake event, the slider can be implemented using the standard algorithms.
