The chart on this slide shows the roadmap of products designed to interface a system architecture with the power stage of a motor controller. These motor bridge controllers bring sophisticated control, diagnostics, and system protection capability to brushed, brushless, and stepper motor applications. System interface features like KLINE, and LIN allow application in distributed architectures, while an SPI interface on the products significantly reduces the microcontroller pins and software overhead necessary to safely control various motor technologies. Other features included in H-bridge drives are active recirculation (L99H01), stall detect (L9942), BEMF detect (L99ASC03), charge pump outputs for reverse battery protection control. These products represent various feature evolution, and BCD process evolution from BCD4s (0.6 µm) to BCD8 (0.3 µm) to ensure the highest capability for the lowest cost.
