The SSP v.1.4.0 also supports the S3A1 microcontroller group that features a number of low-power, low-leakage, feature and pin compatible microcontrollers. The S3A1 MCU group includes MCUs in a variety of pin and package foot prints such as LQFP, BGA, LGA and QFN in 64, 100, 121, and 145 terminals. With 1 MB flash memory, 192 KB SRAM, 8 KB data flash, and low power consumption thanks to Renesas' proprietary silicon process, the S3A1 is perfectly suited for wearables, portable medical and fitness devices, smart connected sensors, building control, fire and security control, thermostats, and appliances. Please note the S3A1 MCU Group is both pin and peripheral compatible with the Synergy S124, S128, S3A3 and S3A7 MCU Groups.
