NetX™ and NetX Duo™ are the high-performance implementations of TCP/IP protocol standards for the SSP. NetX provides a streamlined, IPv4 capable TCP/IP stack, while NetX Duo provides both IPv4 and IPv6 capabilities in a dual-stack product. The NetX and NetX Duo in SSP v.1.4.0 support Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP). SNMP is an internet standard protocol for collecting and organizing information about managed devices on IP networks and for modifying that information to change device behavior. It is based on the manager/agent model. The manager provides interface between the network manager and the management system. The agent provides the interface between the network manager and the device(s) being managed. SNMP Agent Implementation in NetX Duo in SSP v.1.4.0 supports v3 agents, SNMP commands, MIB and traps. This allows for managing, monitoring and provisioning of networked devices via SNMP.
