Product List
The SSP v1.4.0 features a number of cellular framework enhancements the most notable of which is the support for Quectel BG96 LTE CAT M1 modem. LTE CAT M1 is a cellular technology, specifically designed for the needs of applications targeting the Internet of Things (IoT) or machine‑to‑machine (M2M) communications. LTE CAT M1 is a low‑power wide‑area air interface that lets the designer connect IoT and M2M devices with medium data rate requirements (375 kb/s upload and download speeds in half duplex mode). It enables longer battery lifecycles and greater in‑building range, as compared to standard cellular technologies such as 2G, 3G or LTE CAT1. The Cellular Framework provides generic API interfaces to applications for configuring and provisioning the Quectel BG96 modem. It also provides Network Stack Abstraction Layer (NSAL) to support NetX and NetX-Duo over the Quectel BG96 modem and BSD Socket API interface for the Quectel CAT‐M1 on‐chip networking stack. The modem supports CAT M1, NB-IoT and EGPRS. At this time, the SSP v1.4.0 supports CAT M1. This modem will be used in the next generation Synergy Enterprise Cloud Toolkit and will enable users to perform air firmware updates over CAT M1.
