The USBX provides host, device, and OTG support for USB communication. The USBX in SSP v.1.4.0 supports Isochronous Transfer Mode (ISO) that is required for isochronous transfers occurring continuously and periodically. The Isochronous Transfer Mode is useful to transfer time sensitive information, such as an audio or video stream. The USBX in SSP v.1.4.0 also supports the USB Video Class. The USB video device class describes devices capable of streaming video like webcams, digital camcorders, transcoders, analog video converters and still-image cameras. This can be used with the Isochronous Transfer Mode to transfer real-time or latency sensitive data for video applications.
