Class D Audio Amplifiers Slide 3
A pop noise during on and off switching is a problem for audio set makers. The TDA8922B high power amplifier or TDA8932B mid power amplifier, feature a MODE selection pin to switch the amplifier from Standby, Mute, or Operating modes. During start up, to ensure a pop-noise free start-up, the DC output offset voltage is applied gradually to the output between Mute and Operating Modes. The time constant required can be generated via an external RC-network.
