This slide provides information on the Thermal Feedback feature of both the TDA8920C and TDA8920B. The TDA8920C can maintain the output power for a longer time when compared to the “B” version. The “B” version will shut down when over temperature protection goes into effect. Because of the higher supply voltage used with the TDA8920C, it produces less heat (requiring a smaller heat-sink); significantly improved THD; and less power loss in speaker wires due to lower speaker current.
