Because of the focused feature sets, the ML630Q466/Q464 eliminate needing an external LCD driver, a digital temperature sensor and external crystals. When enabling Ultra-Deep HALT mode, the micro keeps a 32 kHz crystal oscillating and stops high speed clock and most of the functions. This brings the current down to 0.8 µA typical in halt mode. Operating current at high speed clock is 250 µA per MHz. The internal RC-ADC is able to measure the temperature to plus or minus 0.2°C accuracy with just a few simple external components, including a thermistor.
