The BM1386GLV is a piezo-resistive pressure sensor. It has an integrated temperature sensor and does temperature compensation for MEMS inside the chip. This makes it very easy to get accurate pressure information. The sensor also embeds a FIFO buffer to help reduce load on the MCU from sampling every time, thus reducing overall system power and avoiding losing data. It is ideally suited for data-logging applications that need to monitor changing altitude, indoor navigation, and pressure changes that a product may experience. This sensor could also be used for weather stations.
