The BH1749 is a 16-bit I²C digital color sensor IC that detects RGB (Red, Green, Blue) components and converts them into digital values. High sensitivity, wide detection range (0.0125 lx – 80 klx), and excellent IR cut characteristics make it easy to accurately obtain the color temperature and brightness of ambient light, making it ideal for process control in industrial asset tracking and other data-logging applications. The RGB Output allows calculation of illuminance and color temperature, whereas high sensitivity and IR light filtering allow utilization of dark and tinted glass window without affecting uniformity of reading.
