When the dimensions of the PCB change, not only does the efficiency of the board change, but the impedance bandwidth is also effected. For example, the ideal board size for the W3010 is 37x80mm. Test results show that this gives a wide impedance bandwidth of 124MHz, and a radiation efficiency of 88%. If the length of the board is reduced by half, the radiation efficiency drops down to 75%, and the impedance bandwidth is drastically reduced to 16MHz.
