The LPC2300 and LPC2400 series are equipped with numerous on-chip peripherals. The 10/100 Ethernet MAC with MII and RMII interfaces can be utilized to connect to a wide variety of external Ethernet PHYs. The Ethernet MAC, which is located on its own AHB bus, has 16 KB SRAM for heavy traffic buffering and its own DMA. A full speed USB 2.0 module with On-The-Go/Host and Device with USB PHY built on-chip for both host and device functions features its own dedicated DMA and a 4 KB FIFO buffer and 16 KB. The NXP USB block is unique that it meets the USB 2.0 specification for this type of device. It also features two CAN interfaces with hardware acceptance filters that meet the CAN 2.0B specification.
