Clock Source

This illustration shows the clock tree on the LPC2300 and 2400 microcontrollers. As you can see, the ARM7 core can be clocked from the main oscillator, the IRC, or the RTC crystal. The WDT can be fed from the IRC or the RTC. Finally, the peripheral clock is divided down from the PLL clock, with each peripheral having its own divider as well for maximum flexibility.
