In addition to the FT800 IC itself, FTDI also produces complete HMI interface solutions complete with LCD, touchscreen and amplified audio. The VM800C “credit card” sized development system allows for quick prototyping while the VM800B mounts all of the components in a production-ready bezel. Be sure to check the EVE pages on the FTDI website for new application notes, sample code, and EVE products. Additionally, make sure to check out FTDI’s YouTube channel to see numerous examples of displays that can be created with EVE technology. In addition there are 3 utilities that are discussed for audio, images, and fonts that can be utilized to easily create user specific items for the EVE environment.
