Unlike the Display List, however, the Graphics Engine commands may require arguments making each write a variable length.  For example, the Clock widget would take the form noted above.  Several of the clock arguments for the position or time are only 2 bytes each.  CMD_CLOCK itself is 32-bits.  The code snippet above would result in displaying the clock at the bottom of the slide.
