These modules are FCC, IC, and CE certified, so they are good for Europe, USA, and all countries that follow those requirements. ST also has ANATEL certification for South America, mainly for Brazil and other countries that follow ANATEL certification that is beginning to be implemented. The communication to the module is over AT command set through UART. There are two different system modes. There is the mini-access-point mode and the station mode. It has sockets, web server capability and REST API commands that will be discussed. As mentioned before, it has TLS 1.2 and SSL 3.0 for end-to-end security. Certain modules have over-the-air update firmware capabilities and they all provide easy provisioning, which will also be discussed. Additionally, it has up to 18 dBm output power.
