These modules are FCC, IC, and CE certified, so they are good for Europe, USA, and all countries that follow those requirements. ST also has ANATEL certification for South America, mainly for Brazil and other countries that follow ANATEL certification that is beginning to be implemented. The communication to the module is over AT command set through UART. There are two different system modes. There is the mini-access-point mode and the station mode.
