Mobile radios operate under car battery voltage levels (13.6 V nominal) and require a power level of either 25 W or 50 W at the antenna. Like Portable radio, ST has two series of products, the PD55xxx specified at 500 MHz and the PD85xxx specified at 870 MHz and with an output power from 3 W up to 50 W. The PD85050S (>50 W-13.6 V / 870 MHz) was recently introduced allowing customers to use the same device in all their mobile radios from HF to UHF 900 MHz.
