For equipment operating under high relative humidity (for example greater than 40%), ST is introducing the Moisture Resistant (MR) family where the lid cavity is filled up with gel in order to protect the die from humidity and thus avoids any metal electro migration such as silver dendrite migration which is a well-known phenomenon with products in standard ceramic packages when users have a combination of high temperature, biasing and humidity.
