Silicon Labs provides a high performance radio, addressing the needs for extended range, enhanced features, and reduced system cost. Featuring an optimized and embedded high power PA and high sensitivity LNA, the Si10xx/1x family offers extended ranges and simplified board design by eliminating the need for an external PA and LNA. In many high performance designs, this can provide a sensitivity of -121dBm, and up to +20dBm output power resulting in a link budget of 141dBm. These parts are designed to simplify the BOM and reduce system current consumption. This also removes the complexity and cost of designing an off-chip PA and LNA for high performance applications. With the low Si10xx/1x transmit current consumption coupled to the low standby current consumption and fast wake times, a system built with EZRadioPRO® offers extended battery life in demanding high-performance applications. Additionally, further high levels of integration reduce overall system complexity. Additional onboard features such as antenna diversity, packet handlers, wake up timers and low battery detection are also available.
