There are general guidelines to follow to help maximize NAND endurance based on the end application. These guidelines can help the designer choose the best NAND architecture for the project: Ideally write files with size aligned to multiples of “Managed Block Size”. In embedded applications, log files for example are much smaller than the size of a Managed Block; in which case writing with file size aligned to multiples of “Managed Page Size” is recommended. Avoid writing very small size files and frequent update. Simplify disk partitioning structure. Avoid filling up the whole capacity of a partition and avoid filling up the whole capacity of the disk.
