The SAM3U is supported by a growing number of development tools such as IAR, Keil and Code Sourcery GNU development tools. Microchip provides software examples for major toolchains: IAR, Keil and GNU. Thanks to the SAM-ICE JTAG interface, the user will be able to program and debug an application in flash or internal RAM. For in-situ Flash programming, the SAM-BA tool can be connected through the USB or serial port. SAM-BA is open source and allows the user to program on-chip or off-chip memories. Developers can customise it to fit with the needs of their application.
