Product List
The high bandwidth architecture described previously fully exploits the high-speed communications peripherals. For instance, the high-speed USB device is able to achieve up to 425 Mbps. There will be more information about high-speed USB later in this presentation. In addition, the External Bus Internal has a maximum bandwidth greater than 500 Mbps due to the support of the central DMA. The High-Speed Multimedia Card Interface (HSMCI) which is compatible with the MultiMedia Card Specification v4.3 can reach a bitrate up to 384 Mbps in this mode. The SDIO/SDCard mode has been improved since the SAM7S and can now achieve 192 Mbps. Finally, the SPI speed has been also improved, the bitrate is up to 48 Mbps. This bandwidth can be achieved because of the dedicated Peripheral DMA Controller (PDC) channels.
