Some Toshiba load switch ICs include overvoltage and undervoltage lockout. To prevent damaging high voltages from passing through to the system, the IC will automatically shut down when it detects an abnormally high voltage. Undervoltage lockout works in the same way by keeping the switch off until a suitably high voltage is present. This is a great way to prevent system damage.
