Toshiba’s load switch IC not only has very low on-resistance, but has low and flat on-resistance regardless of the input voltage. This is different from a MOSFET, which has variable on-resistance depending on the gate-source voltage and drain-source voltage. Toshiba’s load switch IC also has great quiescent current behavior at low input voltages.
