Shown on this slide are some examples of applications using Bluetooth®. A very familiar application is Bluetooth headsets connecting to cell phones, however Bluetooth goes far beyond this application. As can be seen in this slide, there are several application areas. To highlight a few applications, Bluetooth is great for both sports and fitness products, where a user wants to monitor their heart rate for example, and collect this data on their cell phone or computer. Likewise, a person could send this data along with other medical information through a cell phone or computer to a doctor. Bluetooth is finding success in the entertainment market as well. For example, it is possible to stream music from a phone to a computer or powered speakers.
