eZ430 Development Tool Overview Slide 19

Once the software project is installed and CCS has been opened the user will pick a workspace. By default it will show a Welcome Screen which can be closed out. To import a project the user has to go to the Import Projects menu, browse the existing projects tab for the C:\Program Files\Texas Instruments\eZ430-Chronos directory. From here the user pick either the directory or select the Copy Projects to Workspace directory. Selecting the Copy Projects to Workplace is a useful tool as the user can manipulate the code and still have the original code in a safe area. If multiple projects are in the users configuration the active project will need to be selected by right clicking on the project name. Next the active build will have to be selected. The reason for this is that there are three different frequency types and two different IDE versions. From that point on all the user will have to select is the debug icon.
