Shown here is a complete teardown of the eZ430 Chronos system. The top left picture is what the board looks like with the LCD removed. Most users will not see it in this state as once the screen is removed it is difficult to reassemble. The bottom left picture is the Chronos module hooked up to the eZ430 emulator. There is a small 6-pin header that connects the programmer to the module. The picture on the right is the layout of the electronics module itself with some of the key components labeled. The CC430 microcontroller is in the middle, the pressure sensor at the bottom and the 3D accelerometer is on the left. This kit is completely open-sourced from a hardware perspective so that the layout shown here is included with the kit, so the user can take the Gerbers and can modify them as desired. If the customer wants to manufacturer a slightly different version for a specific application, they can as Texas Instruments will release the source code for it.
