The other protocol on the Chronos is from a company called BM Wireless and the stack is called BlueRobin™. BlueRobin™ is compatible with a couple of heart rate monitors and some biking equipment, such as speedometers. It supports long range monitoring systems for body area networks like pedometers and heart rates. BlueRobin™ also supports bi-directional data which is encrypted for security. Since it has the library built in, if the user follows the BlueRobin™ API, they should be able to communicate with external devices. The one negative of BlueRobin™ is that it is not an open-source protocol stack, it is only provided as a library. For specific BlueRobin™ questions the designer will have to go directly to BM Wireless for support.
