The SRK2000A is ST’s controller for the LLC resonant half bridge. The device is a state-machine with a control algorithm optimized for the LLC resonant converter. It provides autonomous control without any need to communicate with the primary side of the converter, has drain voltage sensing with selectable zero current detection threshold, and matched turn-off thresholds. This device features dual gate drivers, two MOSFETs with 1 A source and 3.5 A sink capability driving the MOSFETs up to 500 kHz, and synchronization with the controller. It is compatible with both standard and logic-level MOSFETs, with an extended supply range, 4.5 to 32 V with a programmable under-voltage lockout. Also, featured are low quiescent current and minimum propagation delays in the IC, plus automatic sleep mode at light load. It has a minimum external part count requirement with few additional components required to provide synchronous rectification for the LLC resonant half bridge.
