Shown here are some of the great new features built into the RX651/RX65N family of products. First, there is up to 2 MB of dual bank flash memory which enables background operation (BGO) and a swapping feature for easy firmware updates in the field. Next, the large 640 kB of embedded RAM is partitioned into two areas to offload CPU usage for superior performance and efficiency. The embedded TFT controller drives WQVGA resolutions with double buffering, without the need for external memory. Finally, the Trusted Secure IP (TSIP) enables features normally found in higher-end secure MCUs. All of these features reduce BOM cost and provide better value to customers.
