As with the rest of the RX family, RX651/RX65N is supported by a host of development and debugging tools. e2 studio is the free Renesas Integrated Development Environment (IDE) based on Eclipse. The RX651/RX65N is also supported by the industry standard IAR tool-chain. A number of debugger options including the Renesas E1, E20, E2 Lite, and Segger J-Link are all compatible with RX651/RX65N. Supported compilers include the Renesas RX compiler as well as the IAR compiler and open source GCC compiler.
