The key features of TSIP are to protect the hidden root key, to prevent illegal use of the encryption engine and to prevent illegal key copying. The RX65x 1.5MB-2MB products also contain a full complement of hardware-based cryptographic functions, such as AES, triple-DES, RSA, and hashing functions. The RX65x 512kB-1MB products contain an AES engine and a true random number generator, suitable for basic security needs. Since encryption features are subject to government regulations, the encryption-enabled version of RX65x is not released for general distribution.
