This slide shows a generic consumer application requiring 4 different frequencies. The most cost effective way to address such opportunities is to use a programmable clock. This is also a very good solution when board space is limited. The dialog box on the left side is the software used to configure the FS6377 programmable clock. This software will also help a user decide whether or not the FS6377 can generate the frequencies required by the design being used. The input clock to the FS6377 in this example is a 25 MHz crystal.
