The Efficiency of a PFC circuit versus the Output power with the Low Line Input voltage is 115 V. As shown here, the vertical axis demonstrates the efficiency in percentage; meanwhile the horizontal axis shows the output power. The engineer is comparing the TS5 family against the HighSpeed 3 Technology. The first device, the F5, here indicated with the red line, is a Silicon Carbide Boost Diode, the Rg(off) is 20 Ω. As demonstrated, this combination of switch and diode reaches a different higher efficiency standard. The F5, whether integrated in optimized layout and coupled with SiC Diode is able to provide 1.7% additional improved efficiency at full load. Now comparing the H5, marked in blue with the HighSpeed 3, marked in green, the H5 + Rapid Diode is a plug-and-play solution that provides 0.6% efficiency improvement. To sum it up, the most outstanding of these TS5 devices is the light load efficiency, which is more than 1% higher than H3.
