Product List
Various tasks within ZigBee® include: Networking (NWK), Application Support Sub-layer (APS), Application Framework (AF), ZigBee Device Object (ZDO) and ZigBee Device Profile (ZDP). NWK in the BeeStack™ is responsible for routing packages, including broadcasting, route discovery, unicasting, and rejecting packets not meant for the node or network. APS is responsible for delivering and receiving application data, including binding endpoints and end-to-end acknowledgements. APS also contains the authentication process for secure networks, including the trust center on ZigBee Coordinator (ZC) nodes. AF is responsible for the delivery of data indications and confirms to the application end points. ZDO is responsible for the state of the network and includes functions to join and leave the network. ZDP handles requests and responses for a set of common over-the-air ZigBee® commands for managing nodes within the network. For example, any node may ask for the MAC address of any other node in the network using a ZDP command.
