ANT-Slide18

The star topology is the next most common ANT network type and is the basis of the most popular sport applications. The display is the slave and the body worn or bike sensors act as independent masters each with their own separate channel set up. The current maximum number of spikes to the star is eight. This is dependent upon the silicon/module choice the user makes. ANT provides the channel scheduling internally so the developer need not worry over collisions between the channels. Pairing of the devices will be discussed in subsequent slides.
