Microchip's SAM S70/E70 series has the most flexible SRAM configurations, up to 256KB of SRAM configurable as TCM, making it easy to accommodate different application requirements. For instance, if an application needs more hard real-time processing, such as audio encoding/decoding, audio processing and motor control, it will need more TCM. Or if the application needs fast data processing and determinism, such as finger-print/voice recognition and 2D bar decoding, then more TCM is required as well. Finally, if an application will run a lot of communication stacks, such as networking, field buses, high bandwidth bridging and USB, then it will need to increase system SRAM and less TCM.
