As a side note, another way to increase performance is by reducing the DC resistance of the high current circuit path, meaning the DC resistance of the inductor, sense resistor(s), and EMI filters, as well as an increase in performance will also be seen. This slide shows a measured efficiency using a DC resistance of 61 mΩ, and two calculated results if the DC resistance is reduced to 30.5 and then closer to zero, respectively. Now a DC resistance of 0 ohms is not realistic, but one can see that reducing this can add additional efficiency to the design.
