Using the same hard switched synchronous half bridge, we compare Transphorm’s GaN against additional silicon carbide MOSFET suppliers. Transphorm's GaN FET technology still outperforms the competition to a point where one silicon carbide supplier appears to have lower power capability even though the same TO-247 package is used with lower on resistance.
