Note the distinctiveness of the master system, which is the Cortex-M3 CPU and the default system at boot, and the control system, which is the C28X CPU. But both of these systems, even though they share a memory and run their individual code in their individual flash banks, share the ADC and both have access to the ADC. The key thing to keep in mind is that as with all C2000 devices, the control system is at the heart of that device. The C28X accessing the ADC is a critical part of having a successful control system.
