Medical ECG Slide 5

Prior to moving into the analog signal conditioning portion of this presentation this slide contains an illustration of how biopotentials are measured. Biopotentials occur as a result of ionic depolarization and nerve cells and muscles. It is the job of the instruments to convert these signals into electrical signals. This is accomplished with some very precise electronic circuitry, which the presentation reviews beginning with the next slide.
