Medical ECG Slide 13

Shown on this slide are the key concerns for the analog front end, INA. On the left is a list of the more important features such as input bias current, input impedance, input current noise, voltage noise, power consumption, and DC/AC CMRR. Shown in the box on the right are less important features. This does not mean unimportant, only less important because they are offset related phenomena in the instrumentation amp. One thing to note is that the electrodes are going to have their own offsets which are going to change. Often times the DC errors that are introduced by the electrodes are going to swamp out the offset related errors that are inherent to the amplifier itself.
