Maximum (MAX) specs take into consideration the device performance across manufacturing process, supply voltage, operating temperature, and frequency variation. Board designs need the max spec to ensure their board performance is met under all conditions. The table shown here is an example of how jitter specifications are shown in data sheets, including the test conditions.
