At the heart of the OSD32MP1 is the ST Microelectronics STM32MP1 processor, supporting up to 800MHz. The SoC contains Dual Arm® Cortex®-A7 as well as a Cortex M4 CPU. The features of the SoC are listed in the block diagram. In addition to the cores, connectivity options are vast, including CAN, MIPI DSI, a 24-bit RGB display as well as a camera interface. For real-time motor control it provides independent PWM pins and timers. There is an ADC and DAC. The device also supports several security features. The OSD32MP1 SiP gives access to all the features of the MP1 SoC and integrates the STPMIC1 PMIC as well as DDR, EEPROM, oscillator, and over 100 passives. All of this integration coupled with the benefits that come with the SiP are available to designers without having to make any compromises on the performance of the MP1.
