Product List
The typical internal structure of a film capacitor is shown in the top right diagram. The dielectric consists of two strips of metallized plastic on top of each other and rolled together. The electrode is an ultra-thin vacuum metallization layer over the plastic film. EPCOS is currently using different metallization profiles to provide different electrical parameters. Each face of the winding element is then metal sprayed, creating a conductive soldering surface.
